Marshall Norfleet
Personal Trainer & Director of Management
Marshall was always an active individual while growing up in Montreal. He was named Athlete of the Year in elementary school and played basketball during high school. You could find Marshall in the parks playing all kinds of different sports every summer and in the gym during the winters. After having to leave college to support his family, Marshall found himself working 40 hour weeks and just couldn’t find the time for physical activity anymore. Marshall found himself at a desk job behind a computer for several years before realizing it just wasn’t what he was supposed to be doing. He packed his bags and came to Ottawa to become a student at College in the Fitness & Health Promotion program. He has since graduated from the program and also got his personal training certification through The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. Marshall is excited and eager to share his passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.
Barbara Cao
Personal Trainer, Manager
Where does Barbara’s story begin? It begins with a grade school teacher, who became a stay-at-home mom who transitioned into a fashion coordinator In 2007, she interviewed a woman who had experienced a dramatic life change after only a few short months working with a personal trainer. This inspired Barbara to get into better shape. Over the next few years, she achieved a number of personal goals; she ran her first marathon, competed in figure competitions, then indoor rowing competitions. Her love for all things fitness led her, at last, to become a personal trainer. Barbara doesn’t just talk the talk with her clients and hold them accountable; Barbara walks the walk, everyday, holding herself accountable to living a healthy lifestyle. If you don’t find Barbara at the gym or spending time with her kids (four!), she’s likely shoe shopping – yeah, she has a little bit of a problem!
